Here's a question: why is it okay to listen to jango but not pandora? Pandora is waaaaay better. Stinky internet blocker. It's a lot easier to concentrate while listening to Enya than it is someone elses conference call. Gah.
This morning was one of "those" mornings. Where you look around your house and decide you have 2 options: 1) call in an air strike or 2) call in sick. The nice thing about coming in at the buttcrack of dawn (I'm nearly always to work by 7) is that you have time to do an hour's worth of housework and STILL beat half your collegues in! And I don't know about you, but I'm far more inclined to clean the kitchen and put stuff away before work rather than after.
The Tour starts Saturday. I've been reading Fatty's posts (fatcyclist.com) - he always writes funny stories about cycling leading up to the Tour to get himself psyched up. He's a hoot. I've been reading his blog for years and we occasionally correspond (which is pretty amazing cause he has a huge following). Fatty's wife is dying of cancer and the amount of effort he has channeled into helping the LAF is awesome. Saunooke and I seriously talked about joining Team Fatty and riding the LAF ride in Philly except that neither of use were sure we'd have jobs at that point. Thankfully we do and we've supported the team in other ways, but I'd love to do it next year if he has a team again (which I can't believe he won't). I bought Saunooke a "Team Fatty" cycling jersey to wear when he rides. It rocks.
Anyway, excited about the Tour. I'm with Fatty though - the first time I watch Lance drop back to the team car to pick up water for Contador I'll know an era has ended. (And if that makes no sense to you, it's okay. I understand that there are 1 or 2 folks in America that don't follow pro cycling).
Gregor is coming this weekend - I hope he remembers his food saver thingie this time! I have taken to roaming the aisles of Costco looking at all the great stuff to get for Pennsic. They have tabouli! And I am torn between the marinated mozzarella balls and the Laughing Cow cheese wedges. I think lunch is my favorite meal at pennsic b/c all I do is pull yummy stuff out of the cooler.
Speaking of food....
A friend turned me on to a company called Amazing Grass (wheat grass that is). I bought their Amazing Meal (pom mango flavor) - it's got wheat grass and other greens, veg & fruit powders, and protein. It's vegan, organic, and yummy. I've been using it in my morning green drink and it's 65.4 times better than the other Greens powder I was using. I made one for Saunooke yesterday and he liked it too! They sent me a sample pack with a bunch of their other products - I want Fox to try their Kids product - it's a chocolate flavored powder with 33 fruits & veg. It's not a substitute, but it'll help boost his veg intake. School food is terrible.
